As of now, I believe it is a 1944 8mm K98 Mauser built in the Wilhelm-Gustloff Werke arsenal, Weimar. It has "CAI ST ALB VT" on the right side of muzzle near front sight indicating it was imported by Century Arms. Most of the nazi symbols have been pinged out. the 4th lot of BNZ rifles in 1941 (lot #1 being 1-9999, lot #2 being 1-9999a, lot #3 being 1-9999b and so on. So by my math it was rifle number 30,015 produced. by BNZ in 1941. However what is interesting about my BNZ 41, the model designation does appear on the receiver.
